is it true that in ancient mesopotamia, the priest ruled the city instead of the king? It is true that later because of rids or invasions for land that took place between mesopotamians or invaders, priest were replaced by kings..or was it the priest-king who always ruled? what is the difference between a priest and a priest-king?
