From what you know about Europe before the first world war, why do you think The League of Nations allowed Hitler to take Austria and Czechoslovakia?

First off, the League of Nations did not allow anyone to take anything. When Hitler sent German soldiers into Austria (Anschluss) to unify Austria with "the Reich," no other country objected. When Hitler took over the Sudentland in Western Czechoslovakia, it was with the agreement of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain of England and Benito Mussolini of Italy at Munich. After that, Hitler simply moved into the rest of Czechoslovakia.
