God I hate this class! This is an intro to history class at college. I am not good at history and have never been. Any and all help appreciated, even it it just helps me understand. I have read my book, but my teacher asks questions that arent even in the book. Here is the ones I have to answer:
The American Revolution has been called by many the first American Civil War. WHY? How are the colonists split? What are those who support the crown called? Where are some of their centers of influence? What happens to some of them? What about those who lived out in the fronteir areas-what was their usual concern as far as the war went?
Did the frontier people just stay to themselves and want to be left alone or what?

Of course the prof asks questions not in the book, he wants you to THINK! The anwers are there, but not just verbatim.

The American Revolution has been called the first American Civil War because it divided Americans--those who supported the crown (loyalists, tories, redbacks) and those who supported the revolutionaries.
