History project, need some help!?

I'm doing a presentation on the Institution of Slavery. I have no idea where to begin, how to begin, where to get resources, or what to say. Can anybody give me some pointers? I need to know the date of when this occurred, who established it, the reason why they established it, and how it ended or what made it end(if it ended). I would appreciate quotes too.
You can also give me a link to a website or something, i'll accept any help! :)

Slavery has been around since man has been around. It goes back much much further than the slavery of the 1700/1800s in America.

The Ancient Egyptians had the pyramids built by slaves. The Astecs used slaves in South America 1000 years ago. Columbus enslaved natives when he landed in the Americas. The Roman empire was largely built by slaves. It goes on and on and on.
