I have to list 10 facts on the bubonic pllague or also called black death. this is what i have so far....

1.Historians think it started in China or Central Asia
2.Caused by bactira called yersina pastis
3.Kills 70% of infected people
4.Claimed over 200 million lives
5.Sympotoms range from diarrhea to enlarged lymph nodes

6.it was carried by rats and passed on to humans.
7. we get the nursery "ring around the rosy" from the plague.
8. many historians think the plague cased the dark ages.
9. entire towns and villages were wiped out.
10. people died fast from the plague. they were fine in the morning, got sick in the middle of the day, and then were dead by evening.

It was carried by the fleas that could be carried on rats and other rodents.

People would wear posies or other flowers on their clothing to get rid of the smell. Notice on ring around the rosies, Pockets full of posies.

They would cremate the bodies to prevent spreading the disease further and rid the smell. (ashes, ashes)

The disease can attack in three ways, the fleas, from breathing the exhaled air of an infected person (especially if sputum or spit was in the air) and through blood.

After a loved one would die, the house would be abandoned and all riches and any other possesions would be forgotten since no one dared to enter the house.

Best of luck!
