i think it was rural wasnt effect as much as urban since depression hit big citys which has starvation, unemployment, and diseases and while the rural just farmed and sold their crops
The rural areas were affected first, farmers and such, and then it spread to the urban areas. In the end everyone suffered because the support system collapsed.
