Rodney King's Treatment? For my History and Geography of California class, I have a final exam coming up in just a few days that is closed book in which I have to write an essay covering an essay question using evidence and as much details as possible to support my argument when writing and since I'm not very good at history at all, I'm just wondering if anyone is and can help me out by giving me a good amount of information to study for the final exam. Here is the essay question:
Although nearly thirty years apart, what were the similarities between the causes that gave rise to the events in Watts in 1965 and those motivating the disorder following the trial involving Rodney King’s treatment by police? In spite of this analysis, to what successes, if any, can Californians point with pride in their efforts to address race relations during this same period?
Since I have a learning disability and did very poorly on the midterm for this class and this final exam is very important to me and I really need a good grade on it to pass the class, if anyone is good at History, please help me out by giving me a good amount of information to study for it because I'm in desperate need for help right now.
