Hi, I have to do a history paper on about a film from the 1500s-1800s and I chose Shakespeare in Love out of the list of possible movies. We're supposed to pick out one large theme in each movie that relates to our class lectures then analyze how and how well the film illustrates those themes. We need to address and asses a few large themes.
So far I have that a major theme in the movie is women roles in the Elizabethen era; the unequality they faced as well as money being another major theme.
I just wanted to know where I could get more information on women during that time period because I have googled and most of the results I get are repeating....and we need to cite so it needs to be from a respectable website, any reccomendations? Anyone who can help me find some websites or see a different theme that I can also put in my essay--the best advice will get ten points. Thanks in advance!
P.S. Also if are there any differences from the movie to what actually would happen in that time period and if so what are they?
