Historical Romance Authors?

Looking for a novel for Mother's Day. She has all the Julia Quinn books, and likes her writing style a lot. She didn't like Amanda Quick though--- I've read most of Julia Quinn's books and I can gather that Julia Quinn always makes her characters someone that the reader can like and relate to.

So, can anyone suggest any other authors that write books that have that same feel to them. Historical Romance where you actually feel like the hero and heroine have something in common and they actually feel an attraction to each other rather than just lust.

I don't know if she has any other favorite authors, so just about anything would be a welcomed suggestion as long as it fits into historical romance, with likable characters and a somewhat believable storyline/romantic relationship. Oh, and maybe a little humor/wit would be good too.

My absolute favorite historical romance is Flowers From the Storm by Laura Kinsale.

You might also try Teresa Medeiros, Lisa Kleypas, Stephanie Laurens and my newest discovery, Jennifer Ashley.
