My husband and I don't have any children and work long hours 5 or 6 days a week. We both agree on hiring a cleaner for a few hours a week, to mop floors, wash windows etc. He wants to hire his mother to come in and clean, but I feel uncomfortable with her doing this. I love her, and trust her, but I don't think it's appropriate to have her clean my home. I'd also worry what my husband's siblings would say. I don't want anything uncomfortable or awkward said. My husband says he would rather pay a family member to clean and be in our home unsupervised, than a stranger.
