Hiptop slide - in australia...?

Does anyone know whether telstra (australia) still sell the motorola hiptop slide. If yes, can you get it prepaid?

Can someone also let me know how much they cost (from any phone company in australia) on either a plan or prepaid or outright.

Ok, you can get the Hip-Top, but its REALLY expensive, and REALLY over-rated, trust me, all my friends have Hip-Top's and the hate them, the interface is crummy and it's just awful, if you want to txt lots, get on Optus $30 prepaid, you get $300 worth of credit and unlimited access to Youtube and Myspace
 
I'm pretty sure you won't be able to buy a hiptop from telestra untill they launch the new generation which i think will be at the end of this year/beginning of next year.

What you could do is try to buy the phone outright from ebay or whatever and then put it on a plan. But that might be a little hard to do.


They usually cost $80 (australian) per month on a plan plus extra if you obviously reach your cap. Prepaid im guessing you just buy it and stick a prepaid sim in.

Sorry I'm not that much help. I'd try and go visit a telesta dealer and ask them otherwise maybe go see if you like the other types of hiptops by other brands such as nokia etc.
