hip joint injection

Before I had my total hip replacement, I had several injections into my right hip joint. I don't remember any soreness afterwards at all. In fact, it felt better for a while. Eventually, it was an impossible situation and I had to have the joint replaced. I don't believe it should be unusually sore afterwards. Good luck to you!

I had a cortisone injection in one of my hips a few years ago. My rheumatologist warned me of soreness a day or two afterward and gave me an excuse for work just in case. I had mild discomfort but overall it was better than the pain I had been experiencing.
 
I had that shot it help a little, my joint was really BAD:(...it was sore afterwards, it will work for a about 4mo's....I just got my hip replaced 7-11-08..it has been 2 mo's and I still can't walk without my walker, my Doc says 3mo's...Soibhan how long did it take you to walk?? Aloha:
