hip dysplasia and painful sex?

I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when a baby and told it's still there when I was 12. I had no trouble until now. (I'm 20 and sexually active for 2 years) My hips started to hurt approx. a month ago, (though they were hurting ocaisionally from the start of the year) and do so in every position, even those with my legs together. I even went so far to tell my partner to do it more quickly and even started to look for excuses. Before we had sex 2 times a day, minimally 40min. Now I have trouble with once in three days, although I'd like much more.

Now I'm too scared and shy to go to the doctor. What else can I do?
