hiking trip ok for blood sugar problems?

I am a hypoglycemic 20 yrd. I have it very bad. I am going on my 1st hiking trip w/ my b/f this week for 6 miles. I was wondering what exactly I should bring to stay from getting sick. Iknow the basics but I never push myslef like this because it makes me very sick. is it a good idea to even go? I dont' have a doctor right now.
 
If you suffer from low blood sugar problems I envy you! Mine runs high.

Exercise is very good in any instance. Just eat lots of carbs because you will be walking a lot. Power bars are sugar bombs and give lots of quick energy but include some other things like trail mix that includes nuts and dried fruit (providing you have no allergy issues).

You don't indicate what your physical build is. so its hard to give advise. Just keep with the carbs, drink lots of water and you should have lots of fun.
