How about you try the sunrise trail at Sunrise, Mount Rainer. This trail offers excellent views of mt. Rainer and you have the opportunity to get close to Mountain wildlife. On one side of the narrow dirt trail is a large rock wall while the other side of the trail has a 50 foot + drop off with views of Mt Rainer's lakes and rivers.
Keep in mind that this hike is intended for hikers with high experience. If you have a fear of heights, this hike is probably not for you. There are parts of this hike were even the most ambitious hiker may be more comfortable with safety rope.
This hike is not recommended for children, although you do see people going up with their small child. (they are the ones who have to turn around and come back once they hit areas to unsafe foe children to be manoeuvring)
If you do decide to go with this hike make sure you get there very early(I recommend approximately 7am - 8am) but the 9am hour is usually alright . Get there any later and parking starts to thin out. Once you get back form your hike the parking lot will be 100% full and people will be parking along the roadside trying to find a last minuet place to park. A lot of people camp right out of the back of their car during the nighttime hours (not recommended).
This is just a day hike so don't bring any sleeping equipment. Also there is no lodge if you are wanting to spend the night. There is a Ranger centre and a small eatery. Howerver it gets pretty bussy during lunch hours.
The whole hike takes about 3 hours to compleat. You will need plentey of drinking water because this is such a long hike.
