I want to take a day hike in the Smoky Mountains. I live about 2 hours south of them but would most likely be entering from Gatlinburg. I don't know the area very well, are there places where I can park my car and get on a trail? Do you have to pay to enter the park? Can anyone tell me of a good hike - about 6-10 miles round trip?
