Even when I keep some of my textbooks at home, my lower back shoulder and neck is tense all week.I have no locker, I'm a sophomore. It seems like a messenger back puts less weight on my back. What do you think be a better choice? I already own a messenger bag and a backpack, and I don't plan on buying another backpack, no cash atm. So what do you think?
there are more students than lockers, so normally most sophomores and all freshman don't have lockers unless they share with others.

Uhm no a messenger bag will not be better.

Just think about it like this. Your back pack makes those areas hurt but its more evenly spread out. With one strap you are putting all that weight on one shoulder not only is your neck still going to hurt and your lower back will hurt too but then you'll add a horrible pain in your shoulder. It makes your neck hurt even worse.

You need to ask your school about getting a locker. Ask them to assign you one to share with someone.

Ask your parents to buy you a better back pack.
Since you are a sophomore I am assuming you are somewhere from 14-16, you are still young and your parents responsibility so they need to help you out with this.
Do they want you to have back problems later in life?
