High Calcium and Potassium Levels in Mom

Hi everyone. My mom (59 yrs. old) has been dealing with thyroid, gout and sarcoidosis for years now, and at the doctor today, her blood levels showed she had high potassium and calcium levels.

As per her doctor's recommendation several months ago, she stopped eating dairy and anything else that would have high levels of calcium or potassium, but still continue to show high in her blood.

My mom doesn't have insurance or enough money to go to another doctor for a 2nd opinion, so I'm hoping someone here has gone through a similar situation and has cured or reduced their levels.

Thank you for your help.

How do you know that her levels are still high? Did she have labwork recently?

How well is her thyroid disease controlled? It would benefit her to see a registered dietician to work on her dietary needs. The reason the calcium levels are still high is because she's losing calcium from her bones. There must be kidney involvement because her potassium levels are high too.
