I am enlisting in the U.S. Army after I earn my high school diploma.
At heart I know I want to see action, and follow in the footsteps of other men in my family.
Recently I took the ASVAB, and somewhat to my surprise, I scored highly with a AFQT of 91.
Now the MOS I want to pursue is actually only Infantry (11B), and possibly attending Jump School. The AFQT requirement for this is obviously low.
I have decided I am joining as an Enlistee, not attending college first. So, my question is will it be worth it? I want to earn college credits for what I do. What opportunities will I have? If being something like a Combat Medic is possible while being a paratrooper how would I go about that?
Any thoughts pertaining to options open for enlisted infantrymen are also welcome.
