Please someone help i do not understand the ending.

I thought it was the father who was the bad guy but then it enRAB with the kid in a psychiatric ward that she was in at the beginning of the film. So was it all in the kiRAB head :confused:

It wasn't in her head, the father was actually doing all those things. Emily is just in hospital because of all the trauma, observation type thing.

I saw it a while ago too, and I thought it was really disturbing. It's not the best film in terms of acting, etc. but I thought the idea that something like that could be possible was quite shocking.

You should use spoiler tags people might start jumping down your throat.

I thought it was a good film concept, the ending did let me down a little. :(

Probably because to be shocking enough is an artform that unfortunately seems to have been lost by film makers and stupidly substituted for gore.

Older films where special effects are unavailable are still capable of shocks and scares because they play on what you can't see rather than what you can. A bogeyman is only truely frightening in the shadows.

I was expecting it to be very poor having heard it mercilessly panned by the critics.

Not the best film I've seen but I enjoyed it as the story was both interesting and engaging.

They make this mistake all the time nowadays. I see trailers for movies like this that make claims that "this is the scariest movie you will see in years" and "truly horrifying", but the truth it, I think most of them have now lost the power to really frighten people. It's quite disappointing, considering horror and terror movies are my favourite.

Well, were. :(
