hi , i have had an mri and x-rays the chopracter hurt me he moved 9 of my vertabreas all the way to the left and my sacrum is all messed up to.any way it took 6 or 7 trips to ther 2 dr. and my pt to figure out what the guy did to me any by the i had been in bed only able to get to the bathroom for 2 1/2 months i finnally caved in to pain meRAB no choice could hardly talk i could feel the vibrations of my own voice down my spine (also in the mri i guess i have degenrative disc disease also min. buldging disc L4,L5 and exray very mild scliosis 15) any way i ended up having the cortizone shot trigger point shots (7) on friday the shots were not bad them selves after i took my xanax lol but i'm woundering its 48 hours after will this be it for relief how long will it continue to bring it down for?i've been in bed sence dec7 .the dr is willing to try more later in the week or do the esi but i don;t want to jump the gun.

OUCH!! I am so sorry you are going thru this and you will find that many merabers of this group are not supportive of seeing a chiropractor for the very reasons you have stated.

I assume you are seeing a spinal surgeon ?

Generally when one receives a epidural injection you will have increased pain for up to a week afterwarRAB. These injections are done one week apart and done in a series of two to three injections. If after the second injection you have no relief, they generally do not go ahead with the third.

Thanks:) no one has said any thing to me about a spinal surgeon what can they do for my vertabreas?

my pt moves them back and i'also doing water threapy they all seem to rthink the can fix this but i don't know...my dr. called i'm having more shots today :eek: hopffully things will go well...

You will want to see a spinal surgeon because they have additional training in the spines and exclusively deal with spinal patients. He will do a complete work up on your spine and makes suggestions.

Is you GP taking care of you or a pain management doctor?
 
hi , just have my family dr. then the pt. whats funny is i went bto the dr today i had 10 more cortizone injections today, 7 last friday, any way has it set up any time i want to try an esi at the hospital, he tols me today 1 more month of pt if i haven't had improvement then to a sp....

Oh your case has me very worried. I don't want to scare you but if you have not had an MRI and complete work up you could be damaging your back worse from PT. You should have a complete work up so that they know what they are dealing with. Please be careful.
 
hi , i had an mri 1 week after the chopractor injurd me i've had 2 xrays about then also thats how they found min. deg. disc. and also the buldging disc L4/L5 should i have another?? its been about 5 months.
