Hi, im currently on antibiotics and im going to a party this thursday night i just need to know how long it takes for antibiotics to get out of your system so i can drink alcohol?..thanks..sorry for posting this here

The only reason not to drink on antibiotics is because drinking makes them less effective.
Its very smart of you to not drink on the antibiotics...I do not want to encourage drinking on them..and everyone is different...I've never heard of anyone dying while drinking on antibiotics. I am an alcoholic (sober 5 years now), so therefore, I built a tolerance to alcohol...so that might be why I was always ok..I always drank when I was on my antibiotics and nothing ever happened....but there is always a first time for everything. Is it really important to drink alcohol that night? Maybe if it is that important to drink over finishing your course of antibiotics...there is another question you might be asking...such as do I have a problem with alcohol? Its just a thought.

Hey thanks for replying ill hav one or two drinks on thursday, good to hear your sober 5 years well done, i go out once a week on a friday or saturday sometimes on occassions go out friday and saturday i cant go out and not have a drink i hav tried but when all your frienRAB are drunk you just dont want to be there am i right ? lol...the only alcohol problem i hav is that i have 2 hanRAB and only 1 mouth...bad joke sorry lol..i dont have a problem thanks:wave::wave:

ok, well I don't think its going to hurt to drink...just don't take the pills that day to make it even better...who knows, some people might get sick to their stomach with the pills and the alcohol...I never did...but like I said...drinking was part of my everyday life...I drank no matter what else was in my body....I never abused pills thank god...but I know many people that abuse many narcotics AND drink alcohol...and they are still alive....antibiotics...like I said...it may reduce the effectiveness....Happy Thanksgiving
