Hi there fuel gauge appears not to be working on my Ford Focus zetec 1.4 16v 2001?

I thought i had bought this car with a full tank of petrol and it appears that it is stuck up at full
Does any one know where the fuse is to see if taking that out would reset it or does anyone have any better ideas thanks
