Hi I have been registered as a disabled person, because a recent mri scan shows i have a prolasped disc, two discs showing wear and tear above it (which could prolaspe), muscle and nerve damage and a siatic nerve. also suspected compression of the 'horsetail' nerve as i have slight loss of touch sensation in the left leg. i have had two epijurals in ten months and i asked if i could have epijurals every year so i can have a normal life, but i was told that the nhs wont pay for it. instead i have to have surgury in which my back will be fused but not sure at what degree (one disc or the whole three). as i have nerve and muscle damage anyway and, i would need help to wash and dress myself but if i cant look after myself would i be fit for work??
i ask cos i have a mortgage and im quiet worried.
