hi, i'm relly looking into trading in my 2005 honda civic which i owe approx.$9000 on.?

my family has really outgrown the car so i need a bigger car. i'm looking at a car that cost $7000.i was wondering is this a bad idea and am i going in "the hole". i really need some advice
