good buy? The car was originally used by a dealership as a rental. One addition person owned it for 6 months and then used it for a trade in. It is completely clean with a spotless Carfax report. It has 2 years and 7 months of powertrain warranty left from Ford. One additional question is should I pay for the additional warranty from the dealer who sold it to me? I have a cancellation option for full refund with in 3 days of today if I change my mind. Was it a good deal? And do I need to add close to 3k to the final price by adding 4 years or 50k miles warranty which seems to be an extension of the powertrain (limited major original equipment parts for mechanical failure).
According to the sales person it has the Toyota Highlander Engine. So it kind of is a foriegn car.
I have 3 days to return for full refund so it's not a done deal. I did shop, looked on Craigs list for a week and all over the internet. The Blue book on this car is $20,591. The sticker price was 18k and change. But ya know the taxes etc. it's always more. What appealed to me the most was that it was a hybrid and that it was a rental not privately owned (I think you can be more assured that they have been well cared for where as in the private realm it's a crap shoot, maybe yes, maybe no.
