Hi i have a 96 Dodge Caravan?

I send it to a repair dude and da man says da computer is da problem and wants to charge me 300 dollars for da piece. Frankly im a do it myself type of person. The prob with da car is dat electricity aint getting to where it needs to be to start da car. Now if yal can help me, cuz maybe dat not da prob. another mechanic told me it was a piece of da fuel and i bought it completely new and its didnt fix anything. Now the electrician dude tells me its da computer. Anyways im going to a junk yard and get da piece, probably cheaper but how do i take or find dat piece in da first place? dude said it was da engine control computer. anyone kno? plz help. give me instructions plz
