Hey Mr. Dodge man.. I've been a chev man all my life but I have a question

about a Dodge I have now? it's a '03 Dakota w/ V8 and I was looking in the owners manuel & it says to change the spark plugs every 30k miles and wires every 60k. What's up with that? My GM stuff goes 100k mi on plugs & wires, so why only 30k on the Dodge? Any help will be appreciated
