There's some undercurrent of ill feeling against the GM's here. People keep pointing at Hendry, Epstein, Cashman...others.
Well the GM draws up the contracts and the owner has approval over that. But the manager tells the GM the players he wants, or the type of players he wants, so the GM goes out and gets the player.
The GM is responsible for the terms of contract. Anything else falls back to the mamager, because he's the one requesting the player, usually by name.
Do you agree? Anyone, not only Lonesome.
Good example Hubert...that was the extreme, but it illustrates what I mean. The GM doesn't just go out and do that on his own.
