Hey is there a way to convert vidios right from DVDs or on the computer

ordownload from youtube to ipod files, OK so there are some progams like Ultimate DVD Converter, or Videora Ipod converter, the only problem is i dont know if Ultimate DVD Converter lets u download vidieos from youtube, and the problem with Videora is that in order to convert a DVD to a ipod file u have to rip the DVD using DVD decrypt first, so then u have two copys of a movie on ur computer and two progras thats double the space and i have very little space.??
