Hey im having a sharp stabbing/shooting pain in my left thigh?

i never had this before and then all of a sudden i feel it. I don t feel it when i walk or when i stand bu t when im about to get up from sitting i feeling a stabbing in my thigh. I also notice it when im gettin into a car to take that left leg in i feel that sensation Has anyone had this experience? im 22, can you advise on what it might be? Thanks
