with a 2.4 liter engine? someone told me that it is not good to get a car with over 100,000 miles, but didn't know for sure. the seller on craiglist says that it is in very good condition, but i wanted to know is it a big issue to get a 02 dodge stratus car for $3,000 with 120,000 miles on it?? i mean will the engine run out after so many miles, and have to get a new engine or what?? please provide me with answers because i don't know too much about cars and miles. this is a nice looking car. here is a link to show u some pics of the car

If the electrical and mechanical components have been well maintained, the odometer reading isn't a concern. If your still not sure if you wish to purchase it, visit Carfax.com on the internet. It will give the history of the car. If you see that there isn't enough maintenance records, as far as engine upkeep goes, i would ask the owner why? But if the seals are good (no excessive drips on pavement), it doesn't overheat, runs fairly well at idle, and has good compression; you might very well have a good car at hand? Hope it works out for you.

i actually know nothing really about cars. but my parents have a 2002 - 2004 car and it has about 250,000 miles on it. they said that it could go basically to as high as it wants to go.. usually around 400,000 miles
