hey how do i use a bluetooth for my ps3/!??! i registered it but i cant use it/?

i have a normal bluetooth for a phone and got to register it to the ps3 now i go to a game where u can use bluetooth and *blackops* but i talk and it doesnt work and the bluetooth has a button and idk when is on first i click it and its blinking then i think i click it hold it and its on and idk what do they mean
