with somebody if they ask? I've talked to some seemingly trustful people, but I've been wary to use my webcam for safety reasons. Is this the smart thing to do, or is it okay to talk with a webcam? What are possible dangers (besides possible pedophiles)? Could they take a snapshot of my face or track down where I live? Sorry if I'm rambling on, but what is your guys take? Have you ever used your webcam online with a stranger.

well they can track down your ip and rape you so i wouldnt recommend doing this as im A US MARINE AND NOW IM WORKING AS A STATE TROOPER (POLICE OFFICER) SO dont webchat with anyone that you dont know.
no never. It's like inviting a stranger into your house to chat.It's up to you and how you react to this kind of thing. I know people who are really laid back and take everything easy and light; something like this would be a laugh to them.
Me, not so much. I'm not going on cam to chat to someone, especially something as random as Omegle. I've used that, for a laugh and i was curious to know what it was about. But on a webcam? Only after a few dozen emails, and perhaps a few chats will I invite someone in my home to chat in realtime.
I guess you could look at as you are trading pictures, very quickly... 24 to 30 pictures per second.

I have used Omegle. I think that you should most definitely NOT go on webcam with a complete strange you met off of the internet. For the obvious reasons and as a precaution. Better safe than sorry.
