I figured it's almost 3 hours drive, using ferry in Edmond? Is anyone knows how it runs?? Can't find schedule online..And what is the fare if you traveling with the car? (do they even transport cars to Kingston???) Or should i just take regular route??
Also, I'm going in late October? How cold is there usually?(obviously colder then in NY lol) It's my first time me going west:) so just want to be prepared. And any restrictions on hiking during this time?? Please help!!! thank you much in advance!!!!!:)))

I hike allot and the best advice I can give you is to not go alone or unarmed. Bears and cougars are very common in Washington and people do get mulled.

The ferry is about $14. In October you need to be prepared for any kind of weather. You will be entering the rainy season and when we talk rain we mean rain. The Hoh Rain Forest gets over 180 inches a year. You also want to be prepared for snow and cold weather. You will be in the mountains and that time of year it can snow at anytime. I'm not trying to scare you. You just really need to be prepared. The Olympics is one of the most remote areas in the Continental US. Ok all of the scary stuff out of the way. The area is magic. It is totally beautiful. Have a good time.
