My good friend has apparently figured out I like him. He's moving away to another city to work, although he's trying to see if there are open spots here (where we both are now). After basically stating that he knew, he's saying that we'll talk about this later after he finds out more about the job situation. I assume "this" means my feelings toward him. However, he never mentioned at all how he feels towards me. The entire conversation was quite vague. The basic gist is that there are certain things that may prevent him even if he stays in the city (only, it's not clear what event is going to be prevented). Yet, when I told him we can just be friends, he hinted that he's not necessarily closing off the possibility either.
It's been three weeks since, and everything has just been on-and-off awkward. Sometimes I get the sense he is scared of me or wants to avoid me. Other times I feel like he's sneaking glances. However, he never initiates conversations anymore. What's going on? Is he thinking that when I reach out, it's flirtation, and is therefore repulsed? Is a promise to "talk" later any indication of how he feels?
