Here is my villanelle poem I wrote as a tribute to 9/11. Your thoughts?

BQ: I may have been only 8 at the time of the attacks, but it still haunts me to day.

Forget Them Not
By: Nathan Smith

A day to remember.
Two lovers embraced jump during a tragic event.
Forget them not.

That day was there last in that tragic September.
Where they engaged or already tied the knot?
No matter the relationship, forget them not.

How about the ones we now call heroes?
Trying to save people from ashes and fire?
Indeed, a day to remember.

What of the one man who saw it coming?
He saved over a thousand; he gave it his best shot.
He didn't save them all, but still, forget them not.

Though a ways away, be aware of the shape.
Was it a circle, a square, of something rectangular?
No matter the shape, it is a day to remember.

Never again we say and we feel safe.
Always remember those of the fallen on that awful day.
9/11, a day to remember.
Whether it be the lovers, the brave the police, the firemen; just remember...forget them not.
