Here is a riddle that i had when i was in 8 grade?

Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward are being chased by a monster when they reach very dark woods.They only have 1 flashlight which could bring only 2 people across at a time. they have 15 minutes till the monster gets to them. it takes spongebob 1 minute to get across Sandy 2 minutes patrick 4 minutes and squidward 7 minutes to get across they have to stay together the whole time so how do they get across without one of them being killed
None are right so far
 
hmm...idk but interesting; sounds like one of those logical thingies lolz..
 
sponge and squid, then sponge comes back. sponge abd sandy then spong comes back. then spong and patrick.

7+1+2+1+4=15
 
they don't cross. They just wait for the monster to come, then beat the hell out of it with the flash light!

spongebob crosses with sandy, then spongebob comes back to pick up patrick,then spongebob comes back to get squidward
1+2+4+7=14 and one minute to spare

i'm probably wrong but seriously THIS IS HARD
 
i dont kno, but none of them r people, spongebob is, well, a sponge, patrick is a starfish, isnt he? and sandy is a squirrel,nd squidward is a squid. personally i like sandy the best

but y cud the flashlight bring only 2 people at one time, why doesnt 1 of them hold the flashlight, and the rest follow him holding onto eachother shoulders or something?
