Me and my fiancee have been engaged for 6 months and have been dating for 4 years.
(she is 18 [She graduated HS] and i am 20 [Will get my bachelors degree in a year]).
Anyways me and my fiancee talked about marriage and then got to point where we both agreed but i told her i wont marry her until i discuss with her parents and ask for permission from her dad. we live away from them and recently my fiancee had gone to her parents to stay to help them for the summer and until now...
So i talked to my gf on the phone and she told me that her parents found out we are engaged by my gf evil aunt (they dont get along)... and it ruined everything... since i planned to go back down from summer school to go get her and also talk with her mom and dad about marriage and permission related stuff because i respect them...i have been looking forward to talking with them and knew what i was going to say.. But now the aunt went out and told them...
My fiancee says they are mad that I didn't tell them...said will be "hard" towards me (tease me and such)... and now i feel so down and confused...I don't even know what to tell them now and worried what they will say....
So what should i tell them now.... if you are a parent and found out early what would like?or if anybody has had this happened to you,what did you do?
I would appreciate responses because i still plan on being with my fiancee this weekend...I love her very much...and i won't let fear get to me...just confused at the moment on what should i do...
