Helpful Verizon Codes

Paulcman I am referring to the:
*288 80 - force update, ignore fails
*288 99 - force seconday tower update
*288 00 - original tower update

codes NOT the *228 roaming update codes. My question concerns what I press between the *288 and the two digit 80, 99, or 00 codes. I've tried several things, no dice.

I know, I am referring to those codes as well. There is no such thing as *288. It is simply a typo in the original posting. I will let John know he should edit those codes.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but to skip anyones voicemail message on a Verizon phone and go straight to the "beep" so that you can leave your message, just push "3" when you first hear their voicemail.

It is 3 for most carriers and for one other that I cant remember off the top of my head it is the pound sign (#).

I'm referring to when you call a Verizon number, and THEIR voicemail comes on. You can press 1 to skip to the beep and leave a voicemail.

A different question: Is there a code which will identify the Tower my phone is in contact with?
Thanks.
