I am not phone savy but understand rf a littel. I went with Verizon after being ATT a long time. I was triing to get a better signal on my route to work only to have a larger weak signal area. It seems that the coverage map for Verizon is a big lie compared to the accurate ATT coverage map, or did I pick the wrong phone which was an ENV2. Of course they did not tell us of the problems in our area until we had purchased. Our area is not rural just a terrain problen no one wants to fix. I am thinking of buying some ATT phones off of Amazon and dumping the verizon since we are in our 30 days period. Any ideas or comments? Thank You in advance!

Well, it's kind of hard to say something specific, not knowing where you are, but even still that's really immaterial to those who are outside your area. You probably want to ask someone who has had Verizon in your specific locale whether or not they have issues with service. You said that it's a terrain problem, so I am assuming that you have gathered this from information or observation.

Perhaps it could be the type phone that you have, although a little less likely. I would read some reviews at phonescoop.com, phonearena.com and/or cnet.com to see if your model of phone has reception issues.

Bottom line: If Verizon reception/service is not up to par in your area, particularly since you had adequate service from AT&T, I would not let the grace period end and be stuck with an insufficient signal.

I have bought several phones off Ebay with success, but never Amazon. Just pay attention to the feedback if you decide to go that route. Don't forget to check out the online retailers like Wirefly and Let's Talk.
