Help With Yamaha XS750 Rebuild?

I'm trying to rebuild a Yamaha XS750 Motorcycle, though I am entirely new to this in general. Right now 2 and a half engines and no idea where to start. I also have 2 frames, 2 tanks, and an owners repair manual. I've started taking apart one of the engines and am stuck on the chain removal. Basically I'm asking for someone with experience to help me when i get stuck.

Gotta agree with Harvey on all accounts.
The Shop Manual is a given, the digital camera is a plus and working on a bike over the internet is foolhardy.
But to give you a little bit of encouragement, I'll try to be your fool if you can't understand some of the terminology from the Shop Manual, and if really stuck have a few digital pix to discuss.

Had the Yam 750 triple years ago.. great bike..

& must be the timing chain... cos there shaft drive..

so rocker cover is off if you can see the chain...

bolts on the cam drive sprockets undone.. chain tensioners removed..

sprockets should come of the cam shaft.. & the chain should lift off.. (not sure if you have to remove cam shaft at the same time)

but service manual should tell you.. ( not owners manual)
