Help with Yamaha raptor 660 insurance for a 20 year old ?

Hi i'm finding it hard to get insurance on my raptor 660. i'm 20 years old and the only company i can find is falcon insurance and they want £1500 :| does anybody know any other good places for young riders ? i've tried,

Lexham
MCE
Bike sure
Performance direct
axa
Adrian flux
Call connections
and a few more.

Any company suggestions to help find it cheaper would be appriciated thanks...
 
Motor cycle insurance is a very high risk insurance because of the number of accidents. At 20, you are still regarded as inexperienced by the insurer, and a lot of insurers will not insure a 20 year old on any size motor cycle, but when you start to look at bigger engine sizes, you will find that nearly all insurers wont want to offer a quote as the risk is just too high.

I have worked in the insurance business for over 30 years and I can't think of an insurer who would cover a bike of that size with a 20 year old rider. I am surprised that Falcon did.

Your best option would be to ride a 125CC or less until you build up maximum no claims discount and are over 25, then try again for quotes when you are over 25. Sorry if that answer doesn't help, but we can't force insurers to take you on.
