Help with wound care.?

I cut my finger completely open, and the ER tried to stop the bleeding, but it wouldn't, he tried the skin glue, but it was still bleeding too much, and it seemed like some gauze pad got stuck in it. so then that failed, and he had to surgically cauterize the wound.

After about 2 days the wound now seems to be greenish in a way and I am getting worried, does anyone know if it is infected? The cut kind of looks like it has a part of the gauze pad in it, could that have infected it? is that bad to have in the cut?

It is still bleeding a little, I guess from not letting air hit the wound for two days.

letting air hit is going to help the healing process along. now since it's an alarming green shade, it might be infected. you can try several different things to rid yourself of the infection such as peroxide or bactine. if it doesn't get better after a few days of treatment, then see your doctor. if untreated infection can be very dangerous.

Get thee to a doctor, child.
Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

Do go see a doctor. If you have a family physician, be a walk-in just as soon as they unlock the door in the morning. If you don't then immediately get over to the nearest "Doc-In-a-Box" and get your finger looked at. Still bleeding is a good sign IN THAT gangrene is the result of loss of blood flow. But the "greenish" stuff is worrisome.
