Help with windows media player?

Hi! I just got a new computer, and it came with windows media player 11 for windows vista. I have all my musc files that i want to transfer to my computer on my mp3 player and on my flash drive. They are in wma format, and i used an older version of windows media player on my old computer. but when i try to play the music from my mp3 player (which is a sansa fuze) or my flash drive, the windows media player on my new computer just plays them as a 'blup blup blup" Could anyone offer any help on how to get my music files onto my new computer please??? I would GREATLY appreciate any ideas
