HELP with Windows Media Player and Limewire...? Having trouble synching to iPod?

I got some songs from Limewire and added them to my Windows (XP) Media Player. I want to synch them plus others that are already in my library to it. I plugged it in with the cord and it said that it was there-- a window popped up that said if I wanted to: do no action, open folders, play with Media Player. I tried them and nothing helped. It's saying it's there (even when I went to My Computer, it said it was there) but it's not showing it in the synching area...? When I click Synch to Device, nothing happens... it won't even do anything when I try to click it.

What do I do?
