Help with Whining hard drive laptop?

Ok so I recently got a new laptop it's a compaq presario cq60 when I got it the hard drive makes this annoying high pitched whining noise usually when it's on high performance but now it's doing it on power save its the hard drive not the fan it's really annoying I already went to hp help they didn't help much just sent me to links which I can do myself I've tested the hard drive it's fine anyway I can make it shut up it's getting on my nerves!! Thanks
