Help with water only hair wash?

Hey, I've been doing this treatment for about nearly 2 weeks now, and its going well, I just had some questions, When do you start noticing a difference, and can you use hair products, other than shampoo or conditioner like mouses or hairsprays, ooh and can you use straightners and hairdryers? And do you have to wash your hair in a certain temprature, annnnd finnally is there a certain way to wash it, I just scrub my scalp and kinda massage.
