My family just got Vonage, and it works perfectly, except that our phones don't display when we have a missed call or new voicemail message. The router (v-portal, they call it,) displays all this on it's screen, but I find it VERY inconvenient to have to go downstairs to the basement just to check if someone called us while we were out. My father also has Vonage, and I am sure that he is able to listen to his voicemail through his phone 'software' versus having to dial *123. His phone's LCD also displays when he has missed calls and other information like that. Does anyone know why this won't work for me? Is it just my phone system, because we just got a new one, and it seems pretty advanced.... Thanks in advance.
