Help with using HDMI and a separate stereo with an XBOX 360!!!!?

ok use the hdmi up to your tv; the look on the back of your tv and see if it has audio out if it does buy or find a red/and white cord and hook it up to your stereo, and ps. get a ps3 ,,,, email if u have more ????'s at [email protected]
 
I have an HD tv (samsung LN32B360), an xbox 360, and a stereo. My problem is I want my sound to go through the stereo which only has the red and white plugs. On the flip side I want the video (using an hdmi cable for optimum clarity) to go through the tv with no sound coming from the tv. Is this possible? if so can you tell me? basically i dont want the sound coming from the tv but i still want to use hdmi.
